Hi, I'm Caroline, the tutor behind I Get It Now Tutors.
I'm a highly experienced Key Stage 2 Maths tutor with over 13 years of experience working in primary schools, with a particular specialism in Year 6 and Maths SATs.
I bring extensive practical experience, a strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and, most importantly, a genuine commitment to helping children understand maths and feel more confident in their ability.
Supporting every child as an individual
I Get It Now Tutors is for all children.
Whether your child is struggling with a particular area of maths, has lost confidence, needs to catch up, wants to strengthen their skills or is preparing for SATs, I meet each child where they are and adapt my teaching to help them move forward. This includes children who are home educated and need personalised support alongside their learning.
I believe every child can make progress when they are given the right support, encouragement and explanations in a way that works for them.
I also bring a wealth of experience supporting neurodivergent children, including autistic children and children with ADHD. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the importance of patience, flexibility and adapting teaching and explanations to individual needs.

Experienced Primary Maths Tutor with
13+ Years in Primary Education
During my time working in primary education, I have developed an in-depth knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum and extensive experience supporting children with different abilities, learning styles, individual needs and levels of confidence.
My experience includes one-to-one Maths tuition, higher-level Maths groups and booster sessions, Maths clubs and targeted interventions that have helped children make significant progress and raise their attainment.
I have worked extensively with Year 6 children and have a particularly strong understanding of the knowledge, skills and preparation needed for Maths SATs.
I have seen first-hand the impact that personalised one-to-one support can have on children's progress, confidence and success.
A Strong Investment Banking Background
Before moving into primary education, I spent 18 years working in investment banking, where I progressed to Assistant Vice President. Working in that environment required accuracy, careful thinking, problem-solving and a strong understanding of numbers.
That experience gave me a real appreciation for the importance of understanding numbers rather than simply following a method to get an answer. I now bring that perspective into my teaching, helping children understand the maths they are doing, why it works and how they can use their skills to solve problems with confidence.
Combined with more than 13 years working in primary education, I believe this gives me a valuable perspective. I understand the importance of strong mathematical knowledge, but I also understand that children need explanations, encouragement and support that make maths feel accessible and achievable.
Why I Do What I Do
For me, tutoring isn't just about getting the right answer or achieving a good SATs result.
My move from investment banking into primary education was a conscious decision to use my experience and skills in a career where I could make a direct difference to children's lives.
I want children to understand maths, overcome fear and frustration, and develop the confidence to have a go. Over my years working in primary education, I discovered just how much I enjoyed helping children develop not only academically, but also in confidence and belief in themselves. I found that I could connect with children, understand what was holding them back and help them see that they were capable of more than they sometimes believed.
There is no greater professional reward for me than seeing a child move from saying “I can't do this” to beginning to believe “I can.” Watching something finally click, seeing confidence grow and then watching that confidence translate into real progress and achievement is incredibly rewarding.
It made me realise that helping children recognise their potential and believe in themselves is something I am genuinely passionate about. For me, this is more than simply teaching maths — it is work that feels meaningful and purposeful.
My goal is simple:
To help your child move from “I don't get it” to “I get it now.”
And, ultimately, to help them believe:
“I can do this.”
